Coming from the other end, it serves as a reminder to me not to be too impatient with church music that might be more meaningful to others than it is to me at the moment. Because of having grown up fundamentalist, so much music is forever tainted by the manipulation you write about. Your post makes me rethink my resistance and wonder if I could be more graciously tolerant.Ruth Hull Chatlienhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08797146501548509911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2443211498568019275.post-17292104559938606412009-09-25T10:00:25.218-05:002009-09-25T10:00:25.218-05:00I whole-heartedly concur, yes.I whole-heartedly concur, yes.Terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15667178624061122421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2443211498568019275.post-58938373205208994882009-09-24T07:33:17.024-05:002009-09-24T07:33:17.024-05:00boy did this resonate with me, both the good and t...boy did this resonate with me, both the good and the bad, the we and the i of it, and the manipulation, even.

(I did some time in the charismatic movement in the late 70s)

How are you, by the way?Diane M.
